T-DOSE 2008 is over

This years T-DOSE was filled with prominent speakers on various topics. We had Kris Buytaert speaking about Drupal and Open Source virtualization, Ber Kessels talking about Drupal in large organizations, Dag Wieers talking about CentOS and mrepo, Onno Zweers talking about the first programmers in the Netherlands, Bert Boerland gave a talk about 42 reasons to start a Not For Profit organization, John Willis talking about Cloud computing and Geerd_Dietger Hoffmann gave a talk on how to use your wiimote for presentations and showed us all cool things you could do with it.

Schedule changed again

Unfortunately Hans de Goede had to cancel his talk and presence on T-DOSE.

The schedule now has some holes in it that I would like to fill. If you were planning to visit T-DOSE and have a good idea for a talk, then please contact me as soon as possible. Send your talk proposal to: abstracts _AT_ t-dose _DOT_ org.

T-DOSE 2008 Internet broadcast

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October 2008 T-DOSE will be broadcasted over the Internet by CityTV. Everybody not able to attend T-DOSE can still follow the event through the Internet. The broadcasts can be viewed by everybody running a free or proprietary operating system. The streams supports QuickTime(tm) and VLC media player. CityTV will broadcast a selection of the talks.

Schedule changed Drupal track

Due to unforeseen events the drupal track in T-DOSE's schedule had to change. The website and downloadable PDF have been updated. The organisation urges speakers and visitors to check the latest version of the schedule online. In genereal it is advised to check the latest version of the schedule online.

T-DOSE 2008 is near !

For the third year in row the Open Source Event T-DOSE will be held on 25 and 26th of October 2008. Just like last year the location is at the Fontys University of Applied Science.

LPI exams at T-DOSE

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), the world's premier Linux* certification organization, will offer discounted certification exams to attendees of the T-DOSE conference at october 25, 2008 at Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The start time for the LPI exam session at the conference is at 14:30. Exams will be in English and include the certifications LPIC-1, -2 and LPIC-3 (LPI exams 101/102/201/202/302). The exams will be offered at a 50% discount at 70,- EUR, LPI 301 at 90,- EUR.

Social Event

During T-DOSE 2008 there will also be a social event, just like previous years. On this social event you will be able to meet speakers, members of Open Source projects or your fellow developers. Attendees of the social event will gather add the entrance of the T-DOSE event location. Don't be late, we will leave on 18:15 hrs to the Social Event location.

Call for Papers deadline exteded till 30th September 2008

The call for papers deadline for T-DOSE 2008, held on 25 and 26th October 2008, has been extended till Tuesday 30 september. T-DOSE 2008 is an event for learning about Open Source and the place for developers to meet ones peers. See www.t-dose.org for the schedule and other information. Possible subjects for talks are: Web 2.0, Desktop, Multimedia, Gaming, Embedded and other good ideas. Speakers can send ideas and abstracts to: abstracts@t-dose.org. The e-mail should contain a short biography of the speaker and description of the talk.

Projects at T-DOSE 2008

T-DOSE 2008 invites Open Source Projects to attend at its 3rd consecutive event. Just like previous additions attending is free for all. Open Source projects are encouraged to request a stand in our central hall. Since the space is limited requests will be awarded in receiving order. The following projects announced their presence at T-DOSE 2008:
