Paper:

The Music & Technology department of HKU http://www.hku.nl trains their students in a combination of music creation skills and technological creativity.
In my presentation I will briefly mention in which way open source software, open standards and open content are important to our department, our students and our alumni and how we, in turn, contribute to the 'open' communities.

The majority of the presentation will focus on examples from my classes using a combination of Scheme, Lilypond, Processing, C++ frameworks and Open Sound Control. Expect some algorithmic composition, networked music and digital signal processing.

The presentation will be in English if there are people in the audience who would not understand it when it were in Dutch. En anders gewoon in het Nederlands.
