Wilco Jansen

Wilco Jansen has an extensive industry background, having worked in development and executive positions for a number of large companies and one of the biggest Open Source Projects in the world. He is known for his open no-nonsense just do it mentality and has a proven track-record of being able to steer people into planned directions and keeping groups on track to reach targeted goals.

Wilco is a passionate and well received speaker who has delivered keynotes and participated in events worldwide to promote the Joomla! CMS brand and Open Source principles in general. He has been on the board of the Open Source Matters Foundation which serves as the financial and organizational umbrella for the Joomla! project. Prior to this he has served as Development Coordinator, Core Member, Google Summer of Code Manager and Mentor as well as Project Lead at this globally known Open Source Project.
