T-DOSE is a free and yearly event held in The Netherlands to promote use and development of Open Source Software. During this event Open Source projects, developers and visitors can exchange ideas and knowledge. This years event will be held on 26 and 27 October 2013 at the Fontys University of Applied Science in Eindhoven.

Scratch
Scratch is a graphical programming environment, where you program by clicking blocks together like you build with with Lego bricks. It was developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group of MIT and available through http://scratch.mit.edu/download .
In my talk I will focus on the educational underpinnings of Scratch. There is a strong relation with the sandbox where we played in at a age when learning was truly 24/7.
